I make cartoons and music and sometimes other stuff. I'm from Toronto, Canada although I also spent a decade working in Los Angeles.
Since 2015 I've been making my own independent series Sublo and Tangy Mustard, a slice-of-life comedy about two fast food mascots and their friends fumbling through young adulthood in Toronto. I do everything on it except the voices, which are mostly my friends and family. Before that, I did a series called Fester Fish, a throwback to the surreal slapstick shorts of the 1930s. My indie stuff has been featured all over the internet as well as in festivals around the world. In my professional career, I've directed a bunch of animated TV shows like BoJack Horseman and Tuca & Bertie, as well as creating opening titles, music videos, commercials and special sequences in my own style. My career is a balancing act between my indie projects and industry work. The two streams inform and feed off each other in ways that often surprise me. My indie animation is crowd-funded through Patreon, so if you like what you see, please consider becoming a patron! |
