I'm an artist and filmmaker from Toronto, Canada. I'm currently living in Los Angeles. I've directed on Netflix's Bojack Horseman, Tuca and Bertie, MTV's Greatest Party Story Ever and Comedy Central's Triptank. I also make my own original projects Sublo and Tangy Mustard (a slice-of-life comedy about two fast food mascots and their friends) and Fester Fish, a throwback to the surreal slapstick cartoons of the 1940s. My work has been featured in festivals around the world.
Growing up, I was obsessed with Looney Tunes and Tex Avery cartoons. The energetic, rubbery style of those theatrical shorts was a big early influence on me. Later on I also became interested in Japanese animation's sophisticated storytelling and the varied techniques of European animators. Once I learned how to use Flash, I started making cartoons on my own in high school. I did some independent shorts and a few commercial jobs before completing a 4-year Classical & Computer Animation Production Diploma at Max the Mutt Animation School in Toronto. Since then I've been working in the industry while continuing to make my own shorts.
